JEFF HURD ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR US CONGRESS IN COLORADO’S 3RD DISTRICT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GRAND JUNCTION, CO – Today Jeff Hurd, a successful rural Colorado attorney, former Board Chairman of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, husband, and father of five, announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress as a Republican in Colorado’s 3rd District.

“I grew up in Western Colorado and have always been proud to call it home. It’s an honor to work, live, and raise my kids here. As an attorney, I fight for issues that matter to rural Colorado and to working families—things like lowering the cost of living, keeping electricity bills low, and making sure Coloradans have high-speed internet for work, for school, and for healthcare. I see that it’s critical for Western and Southern Colorado to have a sincere and hard-working voice in Congress that prioritizes their families, their communities, and their businesses,” Hurd said. “Colorado’s Third Congressional District needs a representative in Washington, DC, who is committed to consensus-building and has a proven track record of being part of the solution, not creating more problems. I’m ready to provide serious leadership for rural Colorado.”

Jeff Hurd is running to represent the 3rd District, which covers Grand Junction, Durango, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Ignacio, and Pueblo. A native Coloradan, Jeff built a successful law practice in his hometown of Grand Junction and remains active in the community through his church, the chamber of commerce, and several other volunteer organizations. Jeff and his wife Barbora are currently living and raising their five children in Grand Junction.

Jeff Hurd’s campaign for U.S. Congress is co-chaired by Hank Brown, former United States Senator and United States Representative, and Tim Foster, former Colorado House of Representatives Majority Leader and President Emeritus of Colorado Mesa University.
